Whether you have installed Guest Additions and/or Host Extensions (this solves 90% of the problems we see) Whether you have enabled VT-x/AMD-V (applicable to all hosts running 6.1 and above) and disabled HyperV (applicable to Windows 10 Hosts) This is just a friendly reminder in case you missed it. Either way, advice would be hugly appreciated Maybe I'm in the wrong sub and this is a Ubuntu problem and not VirtualBox, maybe it's both. Pretty new to Linux and not familar with the commands. What do I need to do to get this running in 4k? Download the nvidia drivers for my card maybe? Or is that a dumb idea? Pretty sure it's got more than enough RAM, cores etc. I've read things that suggest I need to allocate at least 33mb video memory which I've done. Obviously I've installed the guest additions stuff and things needed to make it full screen etc, but max resolution I can get is 2560 x 1600, though when I go back into the display settings it looks as though it sets itself back to 1920 x 985.

VirtualBox 6.1.18 is installed, and the latest Ubuntu 20.04 desktop iso. Host machine is win10, I have a 24" 4k monitor, resolution set to 3840 x 2160 and scaled 200% I'm a big dumb idiot who doesn't know what he's doing and would love some advice!
